We are planning to go by your ferry on 18 july and return 26 july from ancona to split  and return.

We are traveling with a dog, is it possible to take the dog on board an into the cabin?

    best regards

Ferry from Ancona to Split is run by Jadrolinija ferry company. This is what they say about transport of dogs and other pets on their international ferries:

Owners of dogs and other pets are obliged to have veterinary certificate.

Dogs must be provided with muzzle, except guide dogs of a sightless person.

Their nourishment is at the charge of the owners.

Transport of animals is forbidden, unless pets (dogs, cats and birds).

Owners of dogs and other pets are obliged to have valid veterinary certificate.

Dogs must be provided with muzzle (except guide dogs of a sightless person) and must be held on leash, cats in boxes and birds in cages.

It is forbidden to take pets in closed spaces assigned for passengers (i.e. cafe’ bar, cabins, restaurants, toilette).

Only guide dogs of sightless persons can be taken in places assigned for passengers.

Transport of pets is free of charge and their nourishment is at the charge of the owners.

Also, important to note is that dogs and cats are generally not allowed on the local fast, foot passenger catamarans, unless they are carried in an enclosed box (basket).

Always check in advance with specific ferry company for their approach to dogs (pets) travel.
