Hello, I am from Argentina, and we are going to Italy and Croatia next September.

We would like to know if there is any ferry boat available on which we could take our car.

Our route starts in Venezia and then would like to land at any Istria destination.

Maybe we would also like to take another ferry in Croatia to go to southern destinations such as Zadar, Split, and Dubrovnik, all of them in our car.

    Is that possible?

Thank you very much for your information  Alicia

There are no car ferries from Venice to Istria, nor from Istria to Zadar, Split or Dubrovnik.

Ferries from Venice to Istria and Istria further south are all for foot passengers only.

Driving from Venice to Istria will take you just a few hours, it is only about 250 km away which can be done in 3 hours. If you insist on traveling by ferry perhaps you can consider taking a rented car further down south instead of driving the whole route from Venice.

You may also consider taking 2 or 3 rented cars separately and instead, take a passenger’s ferry from Venice to Istria and then from Pula (Istria) to Zadar and onward to Split and Dubrovnik. Driving from Venice to Dubrovnik is a long journey.
