I am planning to travel by car ferry:

    from Stinica to Misnjak https://www.croatiaferries.com/stinica-misnjak-ferry.htm

    and

    from Lopar to Valbiska https://www.croatiaferries.com/lopar-valbiska-ferry.htm

with a car and a dog.

Please inform me about the conditions:
    – is it enough to take the dog on a leash?
    – is it necessary a muzzle?
    – or do I have to bring the dog in a box (mobile kennel)?

Thank you for your answer in advance.

    Csilla,

Dogs, cats, birds, and other small animals are allowed on the board of car ferries in Croatia >>

If you stay with your dog in the car while crossing these routes, you don’t need any kennel, leash, or muzzle.

It is good to have all of that with you in the car, just in case, but if a dog is contained with you in the car, it should be no problem at all.

The most important aspect of this is that the dog “should not pose a risk or cause a disturbance to other passengers or the ship.”

So, keep your dog with you in the car and you will be ok.

    If you wish to double-check:

    – > for Stinica – Misnjak ferry route, get in touch with Rabska Plovidba (rapska-plovidba.hr) as they run this route.

    – > for Lopar to Valbiska ferry route, get in touch with Jadrolinija (jadrolinija.hr) as they run this route.
