We are hoping to cycle tour the islands of Mljet, Lastovo, Korcula & Hvar this September. Can we take our cycles on all of the catamarans? If not which ones, please? We are 2 people. Thank you

yes, krilo and tp line ferries do take bicycles, it’s easy to book online, just select the number of passengers and the number of bicycles. great service!

Yes, Krilo takes bicycles but I’m not sure if G&V line for Lastovo takes them. Check with them directly https://www.croatiaferries.com/gv-line/

UPDATE: Lastovo is now served by TP Line and they do take bicycles.

    Ferries – bikes – booking
    Hi

    Hope you can help .

We have booked flights to Split next Sept for 9 nights- first night accommodation in Split .

Will be hiring bikes and plan to visit some islands.- Mljet ,Korcula , probably Hvar .

Think main planning point is the ferries – is it easy with bikes – in our 60s so will want our accommodation booked so need to know how to book ferries or how was with bikes etc .

It’s our Christmas pressie to each other – always something bit out of the comfort zone – 3 years ago – surfing , canoeing in Wales – last year cycling in Italy – drivers crazy. This year Croatia – came with. A guided group 4 years ago – loved it but didn’t explore or get real feel for place – was led.

Hope you can help or direct me in the right direction .

Hi Thelma, yes it is easy to get by bicycle between Split and Mljet, Korcula & Hvar.

TP Line and Krilo catamarans all take bicycles – see info here https://www.croatiaferries.com/tp-line/ & https://www.croatiaferries.com/kapetan-luka/.

However, you have to book early as spaces for bikes are limited, usually just a few on each vessel.

I’m sure you will enjoy your bike holiday in Croatia as the weather in September is still very good here, ideal for cycling around.

    Best wishes! 🙂

We are travelling by bike and won’t have a bike bag so just want to check which ferries allow bikes on? Do we need to book the bikes on?

    The trip is:-

Orebic – Korcula on 3rd June
Korcula – Mljet on 4th June
Mljet – Dubrovnik on 5th June

    Thank you, Emma

    Hi Emma,

You can get your bicycle on all of these crossings, just for some, you have to book in advance and book a bike place.

    – Orebic – Korcula > no advance booking needed
    – Korcula – Mjet and Mljet – Dubrovnik > advance booking needed for bicycle (limited space) as well as passenger/s (see map below)

Thank you for your quick response.

How do I book a bicycle on? Or do I just book the passenger space?

The bicycle booking should be part of the passenger booking so just follow the booking process and you should have option to choose bike space too..
