    Does anyone know if it is possible to book the car ferry to Vis from Split in advance (online?).

    Also, do any companies offer an island hopping ticket – in other words, a combination of islands?

    papa, advance tickets are available for online booking for your route.

    you can buy all your tickets at the spot in each port or for cars on Jadrolinija’s site.

    there is no island hopping option ticket available but we have island hopping maps here

    My husband and I are visiting Croatia in June this year. We are flying into Dubrovnik and heading north to Istria. We planned on island hoping at various points on our way north. For the most part, we will need a car ferry. Do you recommend making reservations ahead of time? If so, how far in advance? How busy is the ferry system in June usually? I know it’s not “high” season yet in Europe, so my thinking is that things won’t be as busy. I can make reservations ahead of time; however, last-minute ticketing would also be good in case we’re having such an enjoyable time that we don’t want to leave the area. I would appreciate any information you could give me. Thank you so much. Looking forward to our visit.

    Hi Nann, it is difficult to predict how busy car ferries will be.

    However, large number of car ferries operate on first-come first-serve bases anyway.

    As your travel schedules are flexible I would assume it is very unlikely you will not be able to do ferry crossings.

    I am trying to figure out the ferry routes. I have been trying to do our travel plans however I am really struggling with the ferries. I have been on Jadrolinija & Krilo websites
    however I am still not understanding the October schedule.
    I know there is limited routes in October however Im not getting an answer from Jadrolinija of Krilo.
    I will be traveling on foot (no car) departing Orebic mid afternoon on Oct 13 to Korcula
    then Oct 14 from Korcula to Hvar
    then Oct 15 Hvar to Split.
    Can you please tell me which ferry lines just for that week?
