I am looking at routes to get from Hvar to Rovinj in July.Do you have the times for Ferry Route 101 released? Any suggested alternative options to get to from the south to the north would be appreciated.
Ferry route 101 is now discontinued and it is very unlikely it will be introduced again.
Hvar to Rovinj ferry & bus travel options are:
- Hvar to Split by fast ferry (1 hour) https://www.croatiaferries.com/hvar-split-ferry.htm
- Split to Zadar bus (3 hours)
- Zadar to Pula ferry (4.5 hours) https://www.croatiaferries.com/zadar-pula-ferry.htm
- Pula to Rovinj bus (1 hour)
The total time involved should be at least 9 hours. Important thing is to make sure you arrive in Zadar before 16:00 to get on the ferry to Pula. You will be in Pula around 20:30. If you can’t get a bus to Rovinj, get a taxi.
The alternative is to take a ferry to Split and then a bus from Split to Rijeka and another bus from Rijeka to Rovinj. This option is also a very long one, I guess you are better off using ferry from Zadar to Pula.
