Pls, help with timetables! I’m trying to book a route from Dubrovnik to Venice in May.

I’ve booked the first part from Dubrovnik to Split.

Then the line from Split to Zadar seems to be not working this year, so I think I can get a bus or a train.

But then from Zadar to Venice, the options seem to include either
    1) via Pula – but the ferries don’t seem to run in May.
    Or
    2) to go via Rovinj or Porec ?

So the question is, is it possible to get from Zadar to Rovinj or Porec via ferries in May?

    Cheers

    Richard

Hi Richard, yes it is possible to get from Zadar to Pula by ferry, but just on Fridays until the end of May.

They may change it for this year, to 2 to 3 times per week, usually Sundays and Wednesdays, depending on the prediction of what the traffic/travel will be for the following year.

Here are the current schedules and info about online booking:

Also, note, there is no train from Split to Zadar, get on the bus instead.

Thanks for the prompt and late night response.Looking at the link, I think this will get me to Pula, but not to Rovinj or Porec ? And as I understand it the ferries from Pula to Venice are not sailing in May. But the ferries from Rovinj or Porec are running in May? Cheers Richard

If you carefully plan Dubrovnik to Venice journey the whole experience can be really interesting. It includes visiting Venice and Ancona in Italy as well as Split and perhaps some of the Croatian islands on your way to Dubrovnik.
