We will be in Croatia in September. We want to visit Hvar Island, Brac Island and Vis island in that order due to accommodation bookings.

Then from Vis back to Split.

However, it is likely we will have a car, is there a car ferry that covers this route?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Grant,

Yes, each island has at least one car ferry connecting it with the mainland.

You can find a list of car ferries on each islands page:

    Hvar island: https://www.croatiaferries.com/hvar-island-ferries.htm

    Brac island: https://www.croatiaferries.com/brac-island-ferries.htm

    – vis island: https://www.croatiaferries.com/vis-island-ferries.htm

Look for the subtitles: Car Ferries from & Car Ferries to where you will find the list.

Thanks so much for the info, I’ve looked at the website, but the question I have is really is there a ferry that links all 3 without having to go back to the mainland every time. I was looking at Jadrolinija route 9602 which looks like it might. It states it is a catamaran, but I’m not sure if it will take cars or not.

No connections between islands by car ferries – just foot passenger ferries.

You have to go back to Split or to the mainland to reach another island by car.

If you want to use a car ferry to visit Hvar Island, Brac Island, and Vis in that order, and then from Vis back to Split you have to go to Split on a couple of occasions:

To get to Hvar island by car

    1. Split to Stari Grad car ferry: https://www.croatiaferries.com/split-starigrad-ferry.htm
    2. Stari Grad to Split car ferry:  https://www.croatiaferries.com/starigrad-split-ferry.htm
    3. or Sucuraj to Drvenik car ferry https://www.croatiaferries.com/sucuraj-drvenik-ferry.htm

To get to Brac island by car

    1. Split to Supetar https://www.croatiaferries.com/split-supetar-ferry.htm
    2. or Makarska to Sumartin car ferry https://www.croatiaferries.com/makarska-sumartin-ferry.htm

To get to/from Vis island by car

    1. Split to Vis car ferry https://www.croatiaferries.com/split-vis-ferry.htm
    2. Vis to Split by car : https://www.croatiaferries.com/vis-split-ferry.htm

Hello, I need some advice. I’m not a regular traveller so feel a little overwhelmed by booking the car ferries I need for a trip I’m taking with my two children.

I’m wanting to book a car ferry from Split to Korcula on 20th July. My plane gets in at 9.30 and I’m collecting a car so I guess I’d be able to travel from about midday onwards.

We are then going to be travelling on car from Korcula to Brac on the 27th July.

Then we will be returning to Split on the 1st August.

All those journeys are therefore one way journeys.

We may end up taking a day trip to Dubrovnik from Korcula but would do that as a foot passenger.

I am expecting that I need to book all of those ferries in advance.

I tried to look just now but I couldn’t see Split to Korcula – I’ve seen Split to Vela Luka but can’t see where the booking tab is to actually book my place.

I’m not actually sure if there is a car ferry from Vela luka onto Brac island.

Do you know if it’s possible to take a car ferry from Vela luka to Brac direct?

    Any help gratefully appreciated.

To get by car ferry from Split to Korcula, book one to Vela Luka.

From Korcula island to Brac there are no car ferries, you have to get back to Split or Makarska and cross by car ferry from there.

    Refer also to this topic:

To book a Car ferry from Split to Vela Luka (Korcula Island)

Book all car ferries on Jadrolinija’s site – booking panel:

    https://www2.jadrolinija.hr/Voyager2Web/#/step0

    I hope this helps.
