    We are planning to visit Croatia this July, and plan to spend some time in Split, Hvar, and Dubrovnik.

    Can you take a car on the ferry from Split to Hvar?

    Can you take a car on the ferry from Hvar to Dubrovnik?

    Are there ferries that will take us from Split to Hvar and from Hvar to Dubrovnik and allow cars on board?

    Are there ferries that will take us from Split to Hvar and from Hvar to Dubrovnik and allow cars on board?

    There is a direct car ferry from Split to Hvar island but from Hvar island to Dubrovnik there are no direct car ferries.

    Therefore:

    • Take the car ferry 635 from Split to Stari grad (Hvar Island) and
    • Car ferry 632 from Sucuraj (Hvar island) to Drvenik (mainland) and from there drive to Dubrovnik. Use the Peljesac bridge to avoid crossing the border with Bosnia (see below map).
