We are touring in Croatia by a car, and we want to reach Dubrovnik, not through Bosnia and Herzegovina.

So I would like to know if it is possible to ferry our car from Ploce to Trpanj?

and how much it will cost?

Thank you very much for your help.

I’m travelling to Croatia with my wife child and dog in our motorhome in early august.

We want to visit Dubrovnik and wondered which ferry would be the best for us?

What kind of prices would we be looking at as well?

our motorhome is 7mtr long and 3mtr high.

hi tommy, you don’t need ferry to reach dubrovnik.
    dubrovnik is at the mainland.

I know but i cannot get a green card to travel through Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our insurance company wont cover us so the only other way i an find is a ferry around. Maybe from ploce?

I would like to know if we are passing any borders to Bosnia on the way from Split to Dubrovnik since Bosnia still has covid restrictions?

We do not have any valid covid pass so that is why Im asking ?

    We are tourists from Sweden.

Jenny, if you are traveling as a foot passenger on a fast ferry from Split to Dubrovnik you will not pass through Bosnia/Herzegovina border at any stage.

    Here are the details: https://www.croatiaferries.com/split-dubrovnik-ferry.htm

However, if you are traveling by car, at the present, you will drive through Bosnia/Herzegovina at Klek-Neum border crossing/s.

If you wish to avoid crossing the border, you can:

    1. take a ferry from Ploce to Trpanj or
    2. cross Peljesac Bridge (the bridge is opened in 2022)

Here is a map with both directions :

If I buy a ferry ticket from Dubrovnik to Split, does the national passeport is requiered? or my french ID card will be enough ?

Croatia is member of the EU so my ID card is enough to travel here but the ferry will pass by Bosnia and Herzegovina sea and I imagine the passeport will be required isn’t?

Romauld, your id card is sufficient.
Dubrovnik to Split ferry does not go through Bosnian waters.
