    Bol to Vis
    ==============
    I’ve been looking for ferries between Bol & Vis for early September but it seems we have to go via Split.

    I’ve found a daily ferry leaving Bol at 16.45 and arriving in Hvar at 17.35 with Jadrolinija it seems no one else is doing this crossing.

    but I am not sure if this is a good option to continue to travel to Vis Island.

    Jerry, my guess is you are traveling as a foot passenger.

    If you are traveling by car (driving) you will need to take a car ferry going from Brac Island to Split which is a Supetar to Split car ferry – details are here: https://www.croatiaferries.com/supetar-split-ferry.htm

    If you are a foot passenger, then there are several options if you prefer to avoid going back to Split, which makes sense, as going back to Split is a long(er) route.

    You can use Milna to Hvar route or Bol to Jelsa and then Hvar to Vis (Tuesdays only).

    If you take the ferry from Milna to Hvar on Tuesdays, other ferry companies also run on this route: https://www.croatiaferries.com/milna-hvar-ferry.htm#September

    And yes indeed, this is a better option as these ferries leave earlier in the day so you can still catch Hvar to Vis one that leaves at 4:30 pm.

    Here is  a map:

    (This is not the most precise map (in terms of timings) but it shows the main departure and arrival points):

    yes, Ana, you are right, I will be traveling as a foot passenger.
    It seems that Bol to Jelsa and Bol to Hvar arrive too late in the day and Milna to Hvar is good timing so I think I will choose this route.
    thx
