Car Ferry ‘Sveti Duje’ (Jadrolinija)

Car Ferry ‘Sveti Duje’ was acquired by the Jadrolinija ferry company and she recently arrived in Croatia from Greece. She is expected to sail on busy a daily car ferry route that connects Split and Supetar on Brac Island.

The class of passenger Ro-Ro Ferry (IMO 9833993), Sveti Duje was built in 2017 by Theodoropoulos Shipping for Leivadas Maritime Co, Greece, and was named Glykofilousa IV. After serving for 6 years in Greek waters, she was recently acquired by Jadrolinija and named after Saint Domnius (Sveti Dujam or colloquially Sveti Duje), the patron saint of Split to continue her service in Croatia.

With a length of 107 meters and a width of 18 meters, this car ferry is capable of achieving a maximum speed of 12 knots. Its full capacity is 1000 passengers and 245 vehicles on two decks. Onboard facilities include an air-conditioned salon with a cafe bar and toilets and outside decks with comfortable seatings.

In the summer season of 2024, we are expecting to see her sailing on the busy local car ferry island-hopping route connecting Split and Supetar. Croatia Ferries is looking forward to taking a lot of photos and videos of this newly acquired vessel.
